Iain Dowie risponde alle domande dei giornalisti dopo la partita: "Non è un problema di schemi il nostro. Potevamo essere 2-0 al 45′ minuto e nessuno avrebbe avuto niente da ridire. Non è stato certamente un risultato positivo ma non posso essere scontento del modo in cui abbiamo giocato".
Commento: Lo spettro della terza sconfitta consecutiva ha aleggiato sopra Loftus Road per più di un’ora e questo può far pensare che, in fondo, un pareggio è comunque un buon risultato. Ma non è così.
La squadra si è involuta, anche perchè pensare di poter contare solo e soltanto sulla verve dei due ragazzini Ledesma e Parejo era utopistico, il gioco non decolla e quando gli avversari attaccano la paura prende il sopravvento.
E’ chiaro che Dowie dovrà lavorare molto per riportare i Rangers agli standard che gli competono, anche perchè il nostro tasso tecnico è molto elevato per la categoria e non possiamo sempre soffrire così. Un punto in tre partite è una media da zona retrocessione, non da promozione.
Per quanto riguarda la cronaca, i QPR si sono presentati con la loro formazione standard, con Delaney, Stewart, Ramage e Hall davanti a Cerny, Mahon, Parejo, Rowlands e Cook a centrocampo e Ledesma a sostegno di Blackstock, unica punta.
La partita è inizialmente molto avara di occasioni. Si fanno vedere Ledesma e Parejo con un paio di tiri da lontano, che finiscono fuori, ma a passare sono i Seasiders che al 17′ si porta sullo 0-1 grazie a Gary Taylor-Fletcher che di destro, dalla distanza, indovina l’angolo giusto.
A questo punto ci si aspetterebbe una pronta risposta dei Rangers, ma la partita non decolla ed il Blackpool non si sforza certo ad alzare i ritmi. Comunque i QPR si rendono pericolosi più volte.
Al 19′ ci prova Ledesma, mai domo, ma Rachubka para a terra. Al 26′ ancora l’ex genoano sugli scudi, ma il suo tiro è deviato in calcio d’angolo da Jorgensen.
Al 27′ Mahon, da pochi passi, si vede ribattere il tiro da Burgess.
Al 30′ ci prova Rowlands dalla distanza, seguito un minuto dopo da Ledesma, ma niente da fare: i tiri vanno fuori.
AL 37′ la seconda miglior chance di pareggio capita a Rowlands, che da pochi passi calcia però fuori…
Nel secondo tempo Dowie boccia la ‘linea giovane’, in maniera alquanto discutibile, e lascia negli spogliatoi Ledesma e Parejo, sostiutiti da Agyemang in attacco e Leigertwood a centrocampo.
Pronti – via e Blackstock, di testa, sfiora la traversa.
L’assedio degli R’s adesso è completo e martellante, ma Rachubka si supera prima su Ramage (49′), poi su Blackstock (53′) ed infine su Leigertwood (55′).
Il pareggio non arriva, i Rangers si sbilanciano e per poco non arriva lo 0-2 quando al 62′ Cerny riesce a neutralizzare un tiro di Barker.
Dowie prova il tutto per tutto e manda in campo anche Buzsaky per Mahon, e finalmente arriva il meritatissimo 1-1, al 78′, su colpo di testa di Blackstock.
A quel punto gli Hoops provano addirittura a vincere la partita, sempre con Blackstock al 79′ e con Buzsaky all’81′, ma senza fortuna.
I Seasiders capiscono la malaparata ed iniziano a fare il più classico dei catenacci, con tanto di cambi tattici spesi solo per perder tempo.
Alla fine si conteranno 21 tiri dei Rangers (di cui 8 in porta) contro i 7 del Blackpool (di cui 4 in porta), 10 corner a 6 per gli R’s che hanno subito anche 14 falli contro i 9 causati.
Ok, è stata senz’altro una partita sfortunata, come lo è stata quella contro il Derby e ancora prima quella contro il Coventry. Ma è davvero tutta sfortuna? Solo sfortuna?
Sono certo che Dowie ed il suo staff la pensano diversamente e mi auguro che sappiano riprendere in mano la squadra nel minor tempo possibile.
