Contro le Eagles abbiamo un tabellino in sostanziale pareggio, visto che vantiamo 35 vittorie (30 escludendo le Coppe nazionali) contro le loro 29, più 26 pareggi.
Quest’anno il Palace occupa l’11a posizione in classifica, a -2 dai Rangers, grazie a 7 vittorie, 5 pareggi e 7 sconfitte.
Sono reduci da due vittorie: la prima a Norwich per 1-2 e la seconda in casa per 4-2 ai danni del Bristol City…
Si tratta dunque di un’ottima squadra molto difficile da battere al Selhurst Park (dove ha perso due sole volte quest’anno) ma comunque non imbattibile.
Noi, che dovremo rinunciare a Leigertwood e Hall, squalificati, e a Buzsaky e Vine, infortunati, potremo contare sulla voglia di riscatto di Helguson e Borrowdale, freschi tesserati da Briatore, e soprattutto sulla voglia di dare una sterzata alla stagione di Sousa e di tutta la squadra che con una bella affermazione si lascerebbero alle spalle gli ultimi tumultuosi mesi vissuti all’ombra di Loftus Road.
