Commento: Un goal siglato ad un quarto d'ora dalla fine dal giovane panchinaro German consente al Queens Park Rangers di acciuffare un punto contro il lanciatissimo Swansea dell’ex Paulo Sousa. Gallesi in vantaggio con Dyer al 57’. Partita piacevole e risultato sostanzialmente equo.
Per la prima volta da quando è sulla panchina degli Hoops, Warnock è costretto a cambiare il suo undici base. Fuori per squalifica Stewart e per infortunio Simpson, trovano spazio dall’inizio Ramage e Buzsaky. Novità anche per Sousa reduce dallo scivolone casalingo contro il West Bromwich Albion. E' quello di Taarabt, battuto al 76’ dalla lunetta sinistra, a rivelarsi decisivo: De Vries respinge su Vine che rimette in mezzo dove German è lesto a fiondare nel sacco l’1-1. Rinfrancati dal pareggio i padroni di casa provano ad ottenere l’intera posta. Ma un po’ l’imprecisione, un po’ l’ottimo assetto tattico mantenuto dallo Swansea impediscono al risultato di cambiare ulteriormente.
