Al quartier generale dei QPR permane l'ottimismo e la speranza di poter trattenere il capitano della promozione ancora almeno per un anno ma nel frattempo gli uomini mercato di Paladini non rimangono alla finestra e si guardano intorno alla ricerca di un possibile sostituto del fuoriclasse marocchino.
Un nome che viene sussurrato in questi giorni è quello di Alberto Aquilani (nella foto), centrocampista della Juventus e della Nazionale italiana, di proprietà del Liverpool.
A quanto pare, la Juve non sarebbe intenzionata a riscatare il cartellino del giocatore, nonstante lo sconto che i Reds avrebbero accordato, portando la cifra richiesta da 16 a 12 milioni di sterline.
Ad Aquilani sarebbero interessati anche Milan e Manchester City ma in queste ore si vocifera di un clamoroso scambio che vedrebbe incrociarsi sulla rotta Londra-Liverpool da una parte Adel Taarabt, per il quale il Liverpool ha da tempo fatto un'offerta, e dall'altra proprio Aquilani che potrebbe arrivare agli Hoops a parziale o totale contropartita tecnica per il cartellino del fuoriclasse marocchino per inserirsi al suo posto nel centrocampo di Warnock.
Oltre ad Aquilani, Paladini ha da tempo puntato gli occhi sul giovane croato del Club Brugge (Belgio) Ivan Perisic.
Il 22enne centrocampista croato viene visto come l'ideale sostituto di Taarabt ed il costo del suo cartellino è stato fissato in 7 milioni di sterline. Qualora gli Hoops decidessero di puntare su Perisic potrebbero così contare su una sostanziosa differenza tra quanto dovrebbero pagare e quanto incasseranno per la cessione di "Tarbs".
